Broward County, Florida. OTHER INFO: This horse is missing and
the subject of foul play. Despite numerous investigations, the ranch
owner (contact horse owner for name of ranch and owner) refused
to tell the whereabouts of Sir Gladstone, despite the fact they
collected board for 9 months. Could possibly be in Minnesota with

12/15/2004 Brandy & Honky - Stolen Polo Ponies, Wellington, Florida with Truck, Trailer & Tack
On the evening of December 15, 2004, these two polo pony mares were taken out of their pasture, loaded onto the owner's trailer and driven away in the owner's F-350 dually. There were no leads for fours years until the trailer was recovered November 13, 2008, in Arlington, Texas. The "owner" was traced back to Miami-Dade Florida. $5,000 REWARD! |

We really need your help. Last night, 9/30/06, a friend of mine's black stallion was stolen out of her pasture in Canton, GA. He is a 17.3 HH Selle Francais stallion. He is 19 years old and 1500lbs. He has no distinguishing marks as he is pure black. However, his muzzle and under his flanks may appear brown due to sun bleaching. He also shivers with his hind legs when you try to pick them up. Attached are two pictures of him. Please pass this information on to as many friends as you can as we are desperate to have him home again. Anyone who has information about this horse, please notify the Cherokee County Police Department in Canton GA @ 770-844-6777, and ask for Deputy McNeal and refer to the case # 06-92843.

March 2007 Dark Gray 4-yr-old Arabian Mare, Blizzard, Missing in Adoption Agreement - San Diego Cnty, CA. Blizzard was adopted by a couple in San Diego County, Calif. in March 2007. After 6 months they quit returning phone calls, and animal control found the address vacant. A contact on the adoption application stated the couple moved and the woman may have gone back to New Hampshire. She has experience as a vet tech.
This mare may have been sold on CRAIGSLIST about 6 months ago.

Well, Fitch did die, but not until his life saved that of his brother's, and not until his caretakers did everything possible to save him. After a recent flood our road experienced an unusually high amount of traffic. It was after this that we noticed our horse was missing from the pasture, but the other six horses were still there. We have checked fences, road the property, checked with neighbors and checked their properties. We have talked to the local law enforcement, called the radio stations, and put up over one hundred flyers. So far we haven't heard anything. So PLEASE help Hawk find his way back home, we miss him very much. |
6/19/07 TY'S CASE WAS UPDATED TO STOLEN! A warrant has been issued for the leasee's arrest. Ty belongs to a summer camp that leases their horses out in the winter. Ty was leased to a staff member from the previous summer and disappeared. |
06/29/07 - Four Horses Stolen in Sevier County, Tenn
Black pickup pulling red trailer pulled up, cut fence and loaded horses. Neighbor saw them pull up but did not see them cut the fence, so she did not think it was suspicious, so they went inside. When owner got there after work 4 of 5 horses were gone.
All four horse were recovered successfully on 7/19/07!

These people wanted to use skip for a kids camp. We let them use him. They told us we could come visit him, when I tried they said he was there horse now. Instead of causing problems I was searching on what I could do as no paper work was written. They moved 3 times when I finally got up to their last address, I was told I missed them by a week. The neighbors said they were going to colorado and they had several horses and started selling them off. They only took two with them and neither one was skip by the description of them. I don't know when he was sold or if he was sold from their home or an auction. Please help me find him we owned him for several years and never intended for him to leave our family.

10/18/2007 Saskatchawan, Canada, Myriska an Arab Filly is Missing. This filly is ONLY TWO WEEKS OLD! Where is she? Check with your vets and stores for anyone purchasing milk supplement or someone with an unexpected newborn. Per her owners: "She is a newborn filly, born on October 10. She is just gone. We have searched everywhere and there is no sign of her at all. There is no sign that she has been taken by a predator. |
10/29/07 Katie's adopter was thrown by the stable owner's horse. Was in a coma for about a week, then physical therapy, etc. Asked about paying board and was told not to worry about it. Went out to see the horse about 6 weeks ago and the mare was gone. Katie is owned by Tri-State Equine Adoption & Rescue, Inc.

12/4/2007 Chica an Azteca/Andalusian mare and Ranchero a 4-year Old Andalusian Gelding as well as their owner's 3-horse slant trailer were stolen in Harris County, TX. Chica and Ranchero were stolen from a pasture on this Tuesday night. Thieves cut through chains on two gates, hitched the owner's trailer, loaded two horses and fled.

12/12//2007 3 AQHA Reining/team penning horses stolen. Here is the owner's plea. "My name is Perrin Ivey. My horses were stolen Wednesday 12/12/07. Someone rode onto my property on another horse, got my 3 horses, cut my fence at the back of my pasture, cut another fence and took them about 1 ½ to 2 miles to the road and put them onto a trailer. 2/2/2008 Red Roan AQHA Gelding Missing in Bad Trade - Prescott, AZ - May be in UTAH. A man came and wanted to trade horses with trial of a week. We exchanged papers but not bills of sale. After approx 5 days, I felt his horse would not work, so I contacted him. He told me my horse did not work for him. It was his horse to sell and sold him to someone in Utah. This man claims to be a farrier at local tracks and gives lessons to kids.

5/12/2008 Chestnut Quarter Horse Gelding, Champ, Missing in Honea Path, South Carolina
Owner moved from SC to FL and placed 5 horses in temporary care of rescue while looking for place to board them in FL. Rescue was compensated for care. Owner asked rescue to find good adoptive home for Champ. Owner tried to make arrangements to have horses shipped back since rescue also did transport.
Owner was asked by rescuer to allow 2 older ones (Chloe and Heston) to be adopted out to someone rescuer said was good with older horses. Since that time, owner has learned that adopter did not take Chloe and may have only been a holding facility for rescuer. Owner paid for new Coggins in March but has no proof Coggins were ever done. Owner paid half of the cost of shipping up front but horses never arrived. After going back and forth with excuses from rescuer, owner finally hired another shipper in May. He arrived to find rescuer not at home and horses on property in deplorable condition with no water or food. He took pictures and called authorities who then removed some of the animals the following day and charges were filed. Shipper was able to save 2 of the owner's horses and take them to safety.
At the time shipper arrived on Monday, May 12th, Chloe WAS ON THE PROPERTY and Heston may have been, too. If shipper would have known this, he would have taken them also. However, by Tuesday May 13th, Chloe had disappeared. Two of owners saved horses were sent to another rescuer and are now back home in Florida.
Chloe and Heston have disappeared and rescuer will not reveal their location. Champ is said to be placed in a good home, but owner does not know this for sure. If he is in a good home, owner will leave him there, but otherwise, she wants him returned with the others.
Update: Chloe was found but Heston was Lost. [The Rescuer] told Det. Busby that she had Heston euthanized because of colic. He will make her prove it.
I am Heartbroken. Heston was the sweetest best horse ever! He Loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was my friend and I will miss him Dearly. He had a kind face, soft eye, he was a comedian, and a good listener. My husband had a shirt made for me at Christmas with Heston's picture on it that I wear all the time because he knew how special Heston was. And now I will cry everytime I see it, thinking of how he suffered.

6/16/2008 APHA Black & White Mare IN FOAL, Easy, Stolen in Knob Noster, Pettis County, MO
My husband is sure he saw Easy in the pasture about 6/5, but can't be positive past that. I went to get horses for the farrier 6/16 & discovered Easy missing. Easy is a black/white homozygous paint-very heavy in foal.
Easy's owner is in a panic. Her pregnant APHA Black & White Mare is due to foal any day and she has been stolen from her pasture. Keep in mind that Easy might have foaled in the time since she's been missing. Therefore, we might be looking for a mare with milk or is being used as a nurse mare for someone who's lost a foal.

7/5/2008 Midnight, black quarter pony stallion, Stolen - 2 other horses severely injured - van alstyne, Collin County, Texas
My gate and post were pulled out and 3 horses were missing around July 5th. I finally found a man who said he had seen the black stallion, but not the other horses. He said the black was causing trouble, so he had run him off.
This was on July 21. I went by this man's pasture later and found my other 2 horses there. They had been severely injured & abuses - and will likely be crippled (PICTURES BELOW - Moderate WARNING!). I did get them home without a confrontation with the man. The sheriff got him to admit he had possession of the black, but has not been willing to locate him. This man has sent the deputy on several wild goose chases, but no black horse.
The longer my horse is gone, the more hopeless I am of seeing him again. This horse belonged to my 10 year old daughter, and even though still a stallion, was ridden by her.
Please help us find Midnight - his life might be in danger! Look at the pictures of the other horses - they were possibly used in tripping rodeos - they might be crippled for life! |
Mid-August 2008 Lexa – Cremello Quarter Horse Mare – Missing from Herd – Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas
Lexa was discovered missing from a herd of 16 horses in a 40-acre pasture. She was last seen around mid-July. PRESUMED STOLEN!
Lexa is a cremello quarter horse mare with typical characteristics of a cremello (pale palomino almost white), and she has no other markings except for some scarring on her legs and a place on her withers. Help us find Lexa and bring her home!

8/23/2008 Max - Medicine Hat APHA Gelding Stolen from Crawford County, IL

9/13/2008 Bay Quarter Horse Gelding Missing and Presumed Stolen from Trainer in Muskogee County, OK
Browney was at Trainer's and disappeared Sept 13. I called the trainer on 09-17-08 to see how the horse was doing he told me the horse was gone - he said he thought that I had came and got the horse with out paying him for his services. He had not called me to find out if I did get the horse or ask for his money which would have been around $600 for a month and a half. Trainer had not notified the authority about my missing horse nor had he called me to tell me my horse was missing. He has still not contacted the authorities. I had contacted the muskogee sheriffs dept and they said there was nothing they could do for me.

10/16/2008 Two Bay Thoroughbred Mares Stolen from Harris County, TX
persons or person parked a trailer in the driveway and went into the barn behind the house took halters and walked the horses to the street through the yard next to the house and loaded the horses in a trailer. The main gate was locked and the primary resident was out of town.

10/18/2008 Sue, Solid Sorrel Qrtr Horse Mare, Stolen Miami-Dade Cnty, Florida
Unknown subjects cut the chain from the locked east gate to enter. The subjects then stole the mare from a pasture and fled. |
11/6/2008 Jewelie - Stolen Sorrel Mustang Mare, Rio Linda, Sacramento County CA
Thieves came in through three properties, cutting three fences, then crossed one pen, crossed creek bridge cutting chain/lock and led her out the same way they came in.

11/23/2008 Belgian Mare, Millie, Stolen from Lucas County, Iowa – - Blind in left eye - nursing a foal and HEAVY WITH FOAL - Bred when Stolen. Mare didn't come up from pasture with her foal for feeding. Mare doesn't leave her foal or wonder off and not return for regular feeding. |
12/14/2008 Gray Andalusian Stallion, Marty, Stolen in Nuevo, Riverside County, CA
Thieves walked past herd of 20 mares and through arena. Cut 6-foot chain link fence.
Description of the truck and trailer used seen by neighbor around 12 am:
White extended cab pick-up, 2 door with a large tank in bed
Tank takes up most of the bed and is painted white
White bumper pull trailer with unique about big dark blue stripes horizontally along the sides. Possibly a big dressing area. 2 or 3 horse trailer
persons of interest:
3 males
main one in the group looks black 5'8" and did most of the talking
2 other men were with him looked to be white
They stopped by to look at horses 2 weeks prior

12/22/2008 Frenchie and Wess, Bay TBs Geldings, Missing from Danville, Kentucky
Allegedly the landowner instigated a chain of events and did not allow Sandra or her family access to her 16 horses for more than a month until she was finally able to get authorities assistance in removing them from his property. Per owners: We rented the horse facility and were conducting our equine business. There was NO boarding or facility manager or any other persons providing us any services.
On Dec. 22, 2008, we started loading our starved animals from a farm in which they were boarded in Kentucky (contact Sandra for more info) onto our trailers and after we counted the horses, we noticed that our daughter's two boys were gone. These were her top show horses and her best friends. She has had them for many years. This man (contact Sandra for more details) had 16 of our horses and he returned 13, one died of starvation. |
1/4/2009 Cheveyo – Sorrel 7 month old colt – missing after pasture escape in Tomahawk, Lincoln County, WI
New latch on gate failed and horses got out during the night. All were recovered except this colt.

2/2/2009 Vern - Bay Clydesdale Gelding stolen from Derby, Wayne County, Iowa
Vern has White Stockings on BACK LEGS ONLY … his front legs are black/brown.
My fiance', Jeff, went out on Tuesday morning, 2/3/09 to feed and water the horses. He heard a strange noise coming from the horse barn. He walked around the corner of the barn to find our 14 year old Keeshound tied to a pole in the horse's barn with barbed wire. He cut the wire from around her neck and untangled her. He then proceeded to feed the horses. Vern, our Clydesdale did not come to the corral area. We went out to the pasture to find him. He was not anywhere in the pasture. We looked for him throughout the area with no luck. We called the Sheriff and reported the incident regarding our dog and that our horse had been removed from our property sometime during Monday night, 2/2/09. |
4/14/2009 Two horses missing Sugarland / Harris County Texas, Piney, Palomina Quarter Horse gelding stolen with one other horse. Both horses tasken around 1-2 a.m. The thieves cut through wire fences to remove the animals. |

Zane was in the barn @ 10:30 pm his owner heard a whinny @ 1:30 am and heard a truck -that is all, no tracks no poop in the road no tracks!!
