| HAPPY Valentines Day February 2010

| January was interesting with our Minnesota weather! All the horses faired very well, though!
In addition to the year-end obligations required for annual reporting, we have been busy restocking our merchandise for the upcoming summer! We have come across some of the most unique pieces! Watch the Misfit Acres store on our website for recently added items.
Speaking of our website - www.misfitacres.com - very soon our awesome webmaster Jeanne will be launching our newly designed site! This has got to be her best work ever! The new style that she has chosen adds a special warmth to the site. Let us know what you think.
January also brought tremendous news!! The Carl & Verna Schmidt Foundation once again has gifted $4000 to the Sanctuary Horses of Misfit Acres! Their generous donation will go a long ways with our 2010 hay purchases! We thank them!!!
Little Boy continues to be the busiest little guy! For having short legs, he sure can get into everything and quickly. We have learned that he must be out of the pasture when Bruce goes in to move the snow as the skid loader to him is just another thing to chase around.
Faith likes to play with Little Boy but only when she wants to. Other times, she shows him who is the boss.
Peanut is our loner horse. Many times she will just be off by herself. She likes the others but just seems to need a little more space alone. She has always been the loner type.
Successes continue with the WellSolve LS feed and our little laminitis horses. Dixie is coming more slowly than Peanut and Faith but is making progress.
Shadow is doing great on her Cushings medication. We would not have believed how quickly it worked to help her. Shadow still runs like a buffalo, though, kind of like she pulls the ground to her when she runs.
Abbey - oh sweet Abbey - is so busy with all the ponies in there. You know, it seems that some horses just need jobs and Abbey is one that does. We joke around about putting a sign on the fencing saying "Abbey's Day Care" as we watch her mother the ponies around.
Lucky and April are back on the kick of "we want room service" as they call to you at meal times from their shelter. No, no girls, we tell them. You can come up here and eat!
BJ & Montana are really getting to understand how fun a round bale feeder is. They used to steer clear of the feeder and almost refused to eat out of it. Now they found out you can pull bunches of hay out at a time.
Augie and Magic are still entertaining each other. Augie more so than Magic, as finding Magic's feed pan is a daily puzzle. Where did Augie put it today? Magic seems to have his own way to get back at Augie though by biting him in the hiney when Augie is getting a drink of water.
Toesis has made a remarkable recovery from his surgery. He is back to bouncing around the house with Acura at their regular play times. He does have some nerve damage to his leg from the tumor growing so big so fast but he does not let it slow him down. Absolutely amazing!!
Please remember you are invited to give us a call and come meet all the kids! We would be very happy to introduce you to them!!
Until March!
