* Please call between 8:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m., to schedule appointments.

* Please call the office phone at 507.665.2371.  All after-hours phone calls will be automatically diverted to the cell phone.  Emergency Services are available 24 hours.  Please make sure to leave your name and number if you leave a message.

OFFICE HOURS will be Monday-Friday 8 am - 4 pm.  Our working hours will stay the same!  Mon.-Tues. 8 am- 5 pm, Wed. 8 am - 7 pm., Thurs.- Fri. 8 am - 5 p.m.

* If you choose to pay the same day of service for country calls, you will get a discount!  Cash or check payments receive a 5% discount, and Visa or Mastercard payments receive a 2% discount.

Notice to Customers:
We are experiencing an increasing number of scheduled appointments that a person is not present or the animals are not prepared for treatment.  We are happy to treat animals without the owner present if they are in a stall or caught and tied.  Please inform us that the owner will not be there and where the animal will be located.  If we arrive at an appointment and there is no one present and the animals are not prepared, we will wait at least 15 minutes before canceling the appointment.  Customers will be charged a call if this occurs.
Small Animal Dental Services Are Available!
We are now able to offer dental services including teeth cleaning & polishing for dogs & cats.  Clean teeth improves animal health & reduces bad breath odor, so call us to schedule an appointment!!
Minnesota Valley Veterinary Large-Animal Hospital Benefits
Our Large-Animal Hospital presents our customers with wonderful benefits for their large animals!  Here are a few situations where hospital care may be cost-effective for you!

•    Castration.  Our hospital provides a clean environment in which your animal may undergo this surgical procedure and recover in a warm, dry, padded area.   And, should complications occur, our hospital has the equipment and medication to properly treat your animal immediately!
o      Approximate Farm Visit Cost: $204
o      Approximate Hospital Cost  $190

•    Fluids.  If your animal needs to have fluids administered through an IV, our hospital has the capability to administer and monitor this procedure in a clean, warm and dry environment.
o      Approximate Farm Visit Cost: $286
o      Approximate Hospital Cost  $188

•    Breeding.  Our breeding package provides close monitoring of your mare’s cycle so that insemination occurs at the most optimal time.  (Farm visits require multiple trips to ensure that the mare is at her “optimal time” to receive sperm in her cycle, to order the semen, and to inseminate your mare once or twice.)  Our hospital is equipped with “stocks” that provide a safer environment for both the mare and the vet and may reduce the need for sedation.  An added plus for hospital care is the confirmation of ovulation after insemination!
o      Approximate Farm Visit Cost: $377
o      Approximate Hospital Cost  $230

•    X-ray.  Taking x-rays in the large-animal hospital has tremendous value to you as a large-animal owner.  The quality of the x-ray is superior and immediate processing allows instant scrutiny by the vet for diagnosis and/or in the case where multiple views are necessary, the additional x-rays may be taken immediately—in lieu of multiple trips to your farm and their associated farm-call charges.
